Gamers Corner Code of Conduct

Please read the following codes with patience and make sure you understand and obey each of these to maintain a fair space for people to come together and have fun.

If you feel that you may not be able to follow one or more of these codes, then this is not the guild you would like to join. We humbly suggest you find another guild that will provide an atmosphere more suitable to your playing style.

BEHAVIOR

  • Gamers Corner is a group of fun loving people coming together to have fun in their own ways without being forced. GC just provides the umbrella for members to come in to enjoy playing games with friends they know or friends they just made upon joining the guild. That is the GC way.
  • It is not mandated but, expected that if a member needs help, another member will help if he or she is available or in the mood to do so. GC does not encourage cry-babies.
  • If any information shared by a guild member in confidence to a guild officer, it shall remain confidential to other members. If the officer feels it is necessary to share the information with other officers it will be cleared with the member prior to sharing the said information with the other officers.
  • If a GC member dislikes the way he or she being treated, regardless of the assaulting player's intentions, the assaulting player is encouraged to discontinue his or her behavior immediately or face the risk of being removed from the guild altogether.
  • GC accepts all real life needs and commitments. GC will not put any member into a decision between real life success and the guild. Real life always comes first. However, GC expects that a member will inform before going on a long absence so that we know when to expect our friend back from real life sabbatical.
  • If a member decides to leave GC, for whatever reason, the decision will be upheld and not questioned. However, as a courtesy, the parting member is encouraged to let the guild leader know the background of his or her decision via private message through our website. If ex-GC member wants to return to the guild, his or her past kinship will be taken into consideration.

CONDUCT

  • GC members will respect each other regardless of their position, rank, origin, nationality, age, gender, race, religious beliefs or creed.
  • GC members must respect players from other guilds same way as GC guild members.
  • No Racial, ethnic or religious slurs will not be tolerated. We are a multi-cultural guild with people from various countries. And we intend to stay that way. Any GC member found to be indulging in such practices will lose the guild tag very quickly, if not at lightning speed.
  • Sportsman like behavior is mandatory.
  • No GC member will say anything bad about Gamers Corner in open chat at any time. If that member feels bad about certain things, he or she is encouraged to chat with one of the officers. If the issue can be resolved on a reasonable and friendly basis, it will be. If not, GC encourages the aggrieved member to find another guild that will suit him/her better.
  • No GC member will express his or her frustration via repeated chat spam in open forums including our own. If any officer notices such events, it will be brought up to the guild leader and appropriate actions will be taken.
  • A GC guild member is not perceived as an individual but as a GC guild representative. Your conduct will determine how people perceive our guild. So, you are encouraged to act in such manner.

FORUM USAGE

  • GC members are encouraged to actively participate in forums.

  • Hijacking a topic in any forum section is STRONGLY discouraged.

  • GC site admins reserve the right to delete any topic, thread or post at any time without notice.

  • Usage of public and member forums must never include any word that a member should never use in front of children. No exceptions.

  • No GC member will spam our forums with meaningless one-line messages. Such activities will be observed and member will be warned by site administrators. If such behavior still continues, that member will lose website access.

OFFICERS

  • Number of officers in Gamers Corner will be increased on demand and, generally, on the basis of the following principles:
    • Dedication to the guild, members and officers
    • Leadership abilities
    • Attendance
    • Conduct
    • Teamwork
  • When GC leader chooses an officer, that decision can’t be challenged and is unquestionable. If any member does not like the decision of the leader in appointing the new officer, is requested to accept it without any hesitation or choose to leave the guild if such a compelling need arises.
  • GC is NOT a guild where being an officer will mean a lot for any member. If a member’s primary aspiration to be an officer in a guild, GC may not be the right place to be.
  • No GC officer has the right to recruit or remove anyone from the guild on his or her own. Recruitment of new guild members will have to go through proper application approval process as laid out on our website. Removal of guild members will be done by GC guild leader only.

PRIVACY

  • All data that GC guild is storing about a Gamers Corner guild member will be kept secure even in the event that the member decides to leave guild.
  • All data GC guild submits to a member is to be kept secured and not accessible to any other person unless the data is explicitly declared public. This especially includes server IP addresses, passwords, private email addresses and data that are protected from public access by passwords.
